At this stage I have added my first newspaper advert which is a promotion for free cinema tickets for the 3d film Saw. I chose to add orange on the ticket and have the advert in black for it to stand out on the whole page.

i also added my first article.

I feel my page looks like it consists of too many colours than a usual newspaper. It is starting to look like a magazine styled newspaper.

This advert will go along the bottom of my front page. I chose to stick to the the colour scheme with the blue and red colours. It advertises a travel company for boat cruises

Looking at the front page of this newspaper the guardian. I have realized a few differences from other  newspapers. The first point is the master head is lower down because of article ads just above it. The front pages consists of a lot of writing and just one main photo planted in the center of the page. It has lot of information given out for a front page. There is very little space. The title is all written in lower case , but has a change in colour to make it stand out. The page is full and has little space but then again it gives out a limit of information since the main article take most of the page. The title of the page takes up the whole width of the page.

This is master head for my newspaper. It was influenced by the known newspaper the independent. I was aiming for a clean neat look the to give it a formal feel. The word "the" is purposely used in small letters clashing with the capital lettered  word "interpreter" to give it a professional look. I have had doubts about giving it such a formal look as it is a local newspaper so its articles will all be top news, and some may just be community based articles. I have included the website details under the master head.

This masterhead gives the name a more serious look, It is clear and simple to read. Just from the look of the name it gives you an idea of what you'll find inside, perharps covering serious news, and even international news. It looks rather targeted at higher classed individuals.

Introduction

For my assignment I am goin to produce a local newpaper front cover, a second page of the newpaper and two hyperlink pages for a newpaper website. I am going to produce this as a pastiche. I am going to focus my idea on a all people of the communicty of all ages. My newspaper will cover all types of subjects and issues. Some of the visual factor i have planned for my project are to give it a serious look, i am going to do this by the use of the colours dark blue red and black. I have also decided to use a abstract font.
